CrewAnchor: Product Vision

Problem Statement

Flight crew (flight attendants and pilots) operate inside a uniquely high-stress environment that most consumer mental health apps don’t account for: irregular operations (IRROPS), unpredictable schedule changes, time zone exhaustion, forced proximity to the public during personal distress, and anxiety around FAA/company reporting requirements. Existing resources (EAPs, generic meditation apps) are either hard to access mid-shift, require connectivity crew don’t have on the tarmac or in-flight, or feel disconnected from the realities of the job.

Vision Statement

CrewAnchor is a privacy-conscious, offline-first mental health and resilience tool built specifically for aviation crew: accessed through the crew member’s existing company sign-in (realistic for an internal tool), but designed so nothing they do inside it is ever logged. It meets a crew member in the exact 2–4 minute window they actually have between boarding calls, delivers immediate grounding support with zero dependency on connectivity, and reconnects them to a peer community that understands the job without ever putting their employment record at risk.

Why This, Why Now

Target Users

| Persona | Need | |—|—| | Line Flight Attendant (primary) | Fast, private grounding support during active IRROPS/delay stress, usable offline on the tarmac or in a galley | | Reserve/On-Call Crew | Tools for layover isolation and unpredictable schedule anxiety | | Pilots (secondary) | FAA reporting anxiety support that doesn’t create a paper trail tied to their record |

Non-Goals (explicitly out of scope for MVP)

Success Looks Like

A crew member in an active stress event can go from trigger → grounded and operationally ready in under 3 minutes, entirely offline, with zero record of having used the tool tied to their identity.
